Bedroom coupe’ Ex-war veterans leader Jabulani Sibanda case remanded further to June 30, on allegations of insulting Mugabe
On October 27, 2014 the former war veterans leader Jabulani Sibanda allegedly insulted president Mugabe while addressing a war veterans meeting at Hubert Mine in Mutasa, Manicaland by claiming Mugabe and his wife, Grace were plotting a bedroom coup against then Vice-President Joice Mujuru and that he would not allow for political power to be “sexually transmitted” from Mugabe to his wife.
Interestingly enough, his words came to pass as Grace Mugabe engineered the downfall of former vice president Joice Mujuru.
To the Discerning eye newzimbabwevision the fact that his case was again deferred yesterday after his docket was referred back to the National Prosecuting Authority, simply shows that political leverage is in play.
This is most likely stemming from the other interested parties, ‘bedroom couple’ who know that determining his case at this point in time would spell disaster for Mugabe and his Zanu pf in the run up to the 2018 ballot as it would drive a wedge between Zanu pf supporters and between war veterans and increase tensions between Zanu pf factions particularly strengthening anti Grace Mugabe wave.
This is the same reason why the treason case against Tsvangirai will never be determined but simply held as a threat because Mugabe knows, a judgement on the trumped up charges would lead to life imprisonment or death, and Mugabe cannot stop the resultant rise in defiance to his oppressive authority if this were to happen.
